In 2008, Joni was so fortunate to be able to visit her sister who now lives in Bangkok. This was an amazing journey, visiting both the modern city of Bangkok, Old Bangkok and the former capitol of Thailand Ayuthaya, which has over 400 ancient temples. Everything was a photographic experience, the people, food, history, modern architecture, monks, soi dogs and cats (street animals), and temple after temple after amazing temple. We never got tired of moving from one Buddhist temple to another, to pray, sit, meditate, and take in all the imagery, immense statues, incense and the devotion of the people in absolute awe.
