About Us
Stone Studios is the collaborative partnership of Joni & Mark Stone. Both Joni & Mark come from a corporate background, with expertise in business administration, marketing & technology. They met in Chicago and moved to North Carolina in 1998. Each have creative talents but both share a passion for photography. Joni also teaches inspirational, creative & motivational workshops. In addition to being a commercial and creative photographer, Mark is also an accomplished musician and composer, predominantly guitar, keyboards and Native American Flute.

Partnering with a commercial client in 2008, Mark’s photographic and design work won the “Best Multi-family Design” award by the Manufactured Housing Institute. This two-year project in Asheville, NC, highlighted the entire building lifecycle of the Lexington Station development. They also won for NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) for Best Green Project 2008, Asheville State Street development.
Mark has professional career has included traveling extensively across the United States as a consultant contracted by Fortune 500 companies, providing business development publications for marketing, research, product development, and advertising.
In 2004, Mark created Stone Studios to focus his energies on providing high quality architectural and commerical photography and web site design.
